The Specialty Hospital has welcomed a number of patients from Gaza as part of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s initiative to provide medical treatment for 2,000 children from Gaza in Jordan. These children, along with their companions, were transferred to the Specialty Hospital in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services to receive the necessary medical care, alongside other private hospitals in Jordan.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, General Manager of The Specialty Hospital and Executive Chairman of the Gaza Health Initiative, expressed his deep appreciation for this Royal initiative. He also commended the Jordanian government for facilitating the medical evacuation process for these children. He noted that The Specialty Hospital had previously received multiple groups of injured children from Gaza in several phases, coordinated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and various international organizations.
Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, The Specialty Hospital was keen to support the Palestinian people through blood donation campaigns, medical aid convoys, and the deployment of medical missions. These missions, consisting of doctors and nurses from Jordanian and international health sectors, were dispatched to Gaza to support the overwhelmed local healthcare providers and strengthen the devastated healthcare system. Additionally, the hospital has contributed to numerous humanitarian efforts in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and other humanitarian partners of the Gaza Health Initiative.
